Network and Cybersecurity Engineer

Marlink is a global leader in maritime hybrid connectivity solutions. We design and operate secure networks combining satellite, LTE/5G, SD-WAN, and cloud-based services for some of the world’s most demanding industries – including maritime, energy, and humanitarian aid.

Now, we’re strengthening our team with new engineers who are passionate about networking and cybersecurity. The job title is flexible – what matters are your skills.
What You'll Do

  • Configure, secure, and optimize complex network infrastructures for global customers
  • Perform changes, upgrades, and troubleshooting on live customer networks
  • Work on internal R&D, customizations, and testing in our labs
  • Participate in technical projects with internal teams, customers, and vendors
  • Prepare and ship network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, etc.)
  • Document solutions and processes clearly for internal use and external handovers

What You Bring
We're looking for people with a solid foundation in networking and a keen interest – or proven experience – in cybersecurity. You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in several of these areas will help:

  • Cybersecurity fundamentals: threat modeling, risk analysis, mitigation strategies
  • Firewalls and Security Platforms: Fortinet (NSE), Cisco, intrusion detection/prevention
  • Networking: IP routing, switching, VPNs, network segmentation, access control
  • Cyber tools & platforms: security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, SIEM solutions
  • Infrastructure: SD-WAN, VLANs, LTE/5G, WiFi, PBX/VoIP
  • Virtualization & Cloud: Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, cloud security, automation/scripting (Python, PowerShell)
  • Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
